Habilis, erectus, neanderthalensis
before sapiens, did they
see pantheons in night skies. Did they picture
the sun a devastating god. Did they see she
as he. Did they see him as swallowing
worlds. Did they burn sand
into glass, dissect the universe
into strings, and try to become singular
beings. They did not see the sun
as middle ground average. Can the star
imagine himself as modest when they would
make him hierophant and order; when they
would look up in the sky; find the reason
for everything and become a new branch.
